A contact lens fitting begins with a comprehensive eye exam to determine your overall eye health and vision. During this exam, a tear film evaluation is performed to assess the quality of the tears on the surface of the eye. Some patients with signs of chronic dry eye may benefit from daily disposable lenses or lenses with special moisture technology. Measurements of the front curvature of the eye and corneal size help determine the best lens selection. Dr. Garner takes into consideration your preferences such as if you would like to enhance or change your eye color or address eyestrain on the computer to find the best lens for you. Patients are provided with trial lenses to be sure they love the lenses before ordering their supply.
